Smart battery monitoring
Victron Energy's SmartShunt 500A (MPN SHU050150050) is an all-in-one battery monitor. It connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, such as state of charge, remaining time, history information and much more. Settings can also be changed easily.
Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected and read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is via a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is required but less wiring and clutter is desired.

Why is battery monitoring important?
Batteries are used in many areas, in most cases to store energy for later use. However, the battery itself does not display the amount of energy stored.
Battery life depends on many factors. The service life can be shortened by undercharging or overcharging, deep discharging, excessive charging or discharging currents and high ambient temperatures. By monitoring with a battery monitor, the user receives important feedback so that countermeasures can be taken to extend the battery life if necessary.

How much remaining load does my on -board battery still have? Is the battery really full? Why is energy being removed from the battery despite the consumer switched off? The Votronic LCD battery computer S answers these questions to the percentage (%) and the amperpower (AH). At the push of a button, it provides comprehensive information about the current loading status of the battery, the flowing battery flows and the voltage position of the battery. Building on the extremely proven Votronic LCD battery computer, the LCD battery computer was created. The versatile, easy-to-use display functions have been expanded by a white illuminated, clear LCD display, which can also be read from a large distance and in the event of unfavorable lighting conditions.
The device is constantly in contact with "its battery" and thus registered and evaluates all battery actions. All loading and discharge flows are meticulously counted, battery sizes, self-discharge, battery load etc. are taken into account using one programmed characteristic fields. The residual capacity of the battery is then calculated from the measured values and the battery size. The result is the correct display of the charging status (the still removable capacity, residual charge) of the on-board battery as a numerical value in ampers hours ("AH") and in percent ("%") as well as as a clear filling level, as with a tank watch. The LCD battery computer S is suitable for all battery types (acid, gel, AGM, lithium adjustable) with 12V and 24V battery voltage.
Of course, the current battery voltage ("V") and the current battery current ("A") are also available. Discharge flows (consumers) are marked by a minus sign. Charging flows are also characterized by a "Charge", legible sign. Regardless of this, there is a further display option for tensioning a second battery, e.g. to monitor the vehicle's starter battery.
The LCD battery computer S has a freely programmable switching output for tax, control and warning purposes, for example, depending on the loading status of the on-board battery (0-100%) of consumers or issuing a warning. Input and output points can be adjusted in % and independently of one another, which enables any switching functions. In addition, these can be oversteered manually at any time by pressing a button.
Application example: Automatic protection of the battery against harmful deep discharge, consumers are switched off exactly according to charging status, e.g. with less than 25% charging status. At the push of a button, an emergency one function is possible to continue to be supplied with consumers. The device can therefore also be used as a remote control battery switch (on/off) with deep discharge protection.
A connected connecting cable connects the display to a robust Precision measurement resistance (smart shunt), which is connected directly to the minus pole of the on-board battery and on which the tensions and currents of the battery are recorded. Here is also the switching exit for connecting signalers or strong switching relays.
In keeping with the Votronic module system, the device is partly visually and mechanically (uniform height 85 mm) to the other display modules and the low installation depth of only 22 mm allows assembly at almost every point.
Important information about the smart shunt:
The selection of the right smart shunt (100 s, 200 s or 400 s) depends exclusively on the maximum permanent load by consumers (a) and not on the overall battery capacity (AH).

Votronic VPC Jupiter 200
Multi-panel system For motorhomes in 3 different versions
The Votronic Power Control (VPC for short) is an innovative multi-panel system for motorhomes that combines the most important functions and information in one device. The information is shown via a light, white illuminated graphic display. The large -scale values can be read excellently in all lighting conditions, even from a greater distance. Colored light emits signal the selected function at any time. The individual versions differ in their range of functions, which is designed for the specific requirements of the different vehicle types. While the version Jupiter, for example, leaves almost nothing to be desired with regard to energy supply and filling levels, the Mercury execution is particularly recommended for more compact vehicles, which often do not have any fixed tanks.
VPC Terra and Jupiter can also be covered with 3 tanks (e.g. indoor/outdoor tank, summer/winter operation, additional tank etc.). The individual switch 2xum are suitable for switching, e.g. switch panel 16 a s Art. 1289 or switch panel 2x16 a S Art.-No. 1291
All devices have at least one voltage display for the board and starter battery and a switching exit for an external relay as the main switch. A switch-off alarm provider (beer) on the panel and a note in the advertisement draw attention to this when an adjustable energy threshold has been below and the main switch is automatically switched off in a few seconds to prevent a deep discharge of the battery.

Victron Venus GX System Monitoring BPP900400100
The Victron Energy Venus GX System Control module (MPN BPP900400100) offers intuitive operation and monitoring of all power systems based on Victron components.
It is particularly suitable as a heart in an ESS (Energy Storage System).
VOM Functional scope of the Venus GX resembles the Color Control GX from Victron, only without a display and without installed modem. It transfers all system data to the free VRM portal of Victron, from where you can monitor and administration your electricity system worldwide.
In addition to the power electronics, tank filling levels of up to 3 tanks can also be monitored and visualized in the VRM portal. In addition to remote monitoring of the shot devices, configuration is also possible from a distance.
Remote Console on the VRM
The setup and the monitoring take place via the remote console. Either via the VRM, via the built -in WiFi access point or via the local LAN/WIFI network.
Automatic aggregate start/stop
An extremely flexible start/stop system. Use of loading, voltage, load and other parameters. Certain settings for rest periods and an optional monthly test run can be set.
Internet connection
The Venus GX can be connected to an Ethernet cable and via Wi-Fi to the Internet. The Venus GX has no internal mobile phone modem: there is no slot for a SIM card. Instead, use a standard GPRS or 3 g router.
Inputs of the tank level indicator
The inputs for the tank level indicator are resistant: connect them to a resistant tank transmitter. Such tank transmitters are not offered by Victron. The ports of the tank level indicator can be configured in such a way that you can work with European tank channels (0-180 ohms), or with US tank channels (240-30 ohms).
Data recording
If the system is connected to the Internet, all data is sent to the VRM portal. If no internet connection is available, the Venus GX stores the data for up to 48 hours internally. By inserting a micro SD card or a USB stick, even more data can be saved. These files can be uploaded to the VRM portal or converted offline with the VictronConnect app for analysis.

How much remaining load does my on -board battery still have? Is the battery really full? Why is energy being removed from the battery despite the consumer switched off? The Votronic LCD battery computer S answers these questions to the percentage (%) and the amperpower (AH). At the push of a button, it provides comprehensive information about the current loading status of the battery, the flowing battery flows and the voltage position of the battery. Building on the extremely proven Votronic LCD battery computer, the LCD battery computer was created. The versatile, easy-to-use display functions have been expanded by a white illuminated, clear LCD display, which can also be read from a large distance and in the event of unfavorable lighting conditions.
The device is constantly in contact with "its battery" and thus registered and evaluates all battery actions. All loading and discharge flows are meticulously counted, battery sizes, self-discharge, battery load etc. are taken into account using one programmed characteristic fields. The residual capacity of the battery is then calculated from the measured values and the battery size. The result is the correct display of the charging status (the still removable capacity, residual charge) of the on-board battery as a numerical value in ampers hours ("AH") and in percent ("%") as well as as a clear filling level, as with a tank watch. The LCD battery computer S is suitable for all battery types (acid, gel, AGM, lithium adjustable) with 12V and 24V battery voltage.
Of course, the current battery voltage ("V") and the current battery current ("A") are also available. Discharge flows (consumers) are marked by a minus sign. Charging flows are also characterized by a "Charge", legible sign. Regardless of this, there is a further display option for tensioning a second battery, e.g. to monitor the vehicle's starter battery.
The LCD battery computer S has a freely programmable switching output for tax, control and warning purposes, for example, depending on the loading status of the on-board battery (0-100%) of consumers or issuing a warning. Input and output points can be adjusted in % and independently of one another, which enables any switching functions. In addition, these can be oversteered manually at any time by pressing a button.
Application example: Automatic protection of the battery against harmful deep discharge, consumers are switched off exactly according to charging status, e.g. with less than 25% charging status. At the push of a button, an emergency one function is possible to continue to be supplied with consumers. The device can therefore also be used as a remote control battery switch (on/off) with deep discharge protection.
A connected connecting cable connects the display to a robust Precision measurement resistance (smart shunt), which is connected directly to the minus pole of the on-board battery and on which the tensions and currents of the battery are recorded. Here is also the switching exit for connecting signalers or strong switching relays.
In keeping with the Votronic module system, the device is bound to the other display modules both optically and mechanically (uniform height 85mm) and the low installation depth of only 22mm allows assembly at almost every point.
Important information about the smart shunt:
The selection of the right smart shunt (100 s, 200 s or 400 s) depends exclusively on the maximum permanent load by consumers (a) and not on the overall battery capacity (AH).

The Smartshunt 1000A from Victron Energy (MPN Shu050210050) is an all-in-one battery lifeer. It connects via Bluetooth with the VictronConnect app on your phone (or tablet) and you can read all monitored battery parameters such as loading status, remaining running time, course information and much more. The SCQ50 is an innovative shunt module with four inputs for monitoring individual consumers and generators with permanent flows up to 50a (35a lace) per input in 12V and 24V systems.

The Votronic Power Control (VPC for short) is an innovative multi-panel system for motorhomes that combines the most important functions and information in one device. The information is shown via a light, white illuminated graphic display. The large -scale values can be read excellently in all lighting conditions, even from a greater distance. Colored light emits signal the selected function at any time. The individual versions differ in their range of functions, which is designed for the specific requirements of the different vehicle types. While the version Jupiter, for example, leaves almost nothing to be desired with regard to energy supply and filling levels, the Mercury execution is particularly recommended for more compact vehicles, which often do not have any fixed tanks.
VPC Terra and Jupiter can also be covered with 3 tanks (e.g. indoor/outdoor tank, summer/winter operation, additional tank etc.). The individual switch 2xum are suitable for switching, e.g. switch panel 16 a s Art. 1289 or switch panel 2x16 a S Art.-No. 1291
All devices have at least one voltage display for the board and starter battery and a switching exit for an external relay as the main switch. A switch-off alarm provider (beer) on the panel and a note in the advertisement draw attention to this when an adjustable energy threshold has been below and the main switch is automatically switched off in a few seconds to prevent a deep discharge of the battery.
