The Victron Argo 80-2SC battery separation diode (MPN ARG080202000R) enables the loading distribution from a power source (e.g. alternator) on several battery cycle. Compared to the Argodiode 80-2AC, this version does not have a power-limiting outcome for the generator connection.
With the help of battery separating diodes, 2 or three separate battery cycle can be loaded from just one power source. The batteries do not have to be connected to each other, which simplifies the installation of these separation diodes very much and even saves installation costs.
Technical features of the Victron Argo 80-2SC battery separation diode
- The ARGO series uses the latest Shottky diodes to keep the voltage loss as low as possible
- The Model ARGO 80-2SC delivers a maximum charging current of 80a and can operate 2 separate batteries or battery tiebe
- Maximum current of the alternator is also 80a, for example, the on -board network battery can be loaded, without the starter battery being unloaded at the same time.
Minimal loss of voltage thanks to the latest Shottky Diodes
The use of modern Shottky diodes also keeps the voltage loss small. It is approx. 0.3 V and the nominal current approx. 0.45 V. All models of the Victron Argo series are equipped with a compensation diode with which the output voltage of the alternator is slightly increased, so that the voltage loss through the shop To compensate for diodes. This is important because if the separation diode is connected to the cabling between the alternator and the battery without further measure, a voltage loss that leads to incomplete charge and early aging of the battery arises.
