Flexible wiring line with tinned wires- H07V-K
Fine-wire strand (single core) made of tinned copper wires, therefore extremely resistant to corrosion. Wire insulation based on PVC, can be used for indoor installations, eg wiring of switchboards.
The problem: Bare copper wires corrode very quickly. This corrosion occurs wherever the copper conductor is not sealed 100 percent airtight.
The ends of the cable at the transition to the cable lug or plug are particularly at risk. The corrosion increases the resistance of the connection, resulting in an increased voltage drop or malfunctions. The lines have to be completely replaced, replacing the cables is very time-consuming and expensive.
The more salty, humid or hotter the air is, the faster this process takes place.
The solution: Tinned copper wires, on the other hand, hardly corrode and therefore almost never have to be renewed.
Tinned cables are a bit more expensive, but since the replacement of corroded cables is very time-consuming, the additional price is worth it.
