The Victron Energy (MPN Cyr010120110R) CyriRix-CT battery coupler set is used to add a second or third battery system in your car, boat, motorhome or wherever you wish. The set contains all components that are required for connection. The simplest, but also the most advanced technology, is used so that all of your batteries are charged. Cyrix-CT 12V/24V-1220A battery coupler
The Cyrix battery coupler is a high -performance microprocess -controlled relay that automatically switches batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a specified voltage value and the batteries separated again when the voltage drops under the maintenance voltage value. The coupler is ideal for replacing separation diodes. Their main feature is that there is practically no loss of voltage, so that the output voltage of the alternating current generators or the battery charger does not have to be increased.
The starter battery receives priority
In a typical structure, the Wechelstrom generator is directly connected to the starter battery. The additional battery and other batteries are connected to the starter battery via Cyrix battery coupler. When a Cyrix realizes that the starter battery has reached its connection voltage, it closes to enable the other batteries to be loaded in parallel.
Intelligent battery monitoring to avoid repeated switching
The software of the Cyrix-CT 120 takes over more functions than simply connecting and separating based on the battery voltage and with a specified time delay. The Cyrix-CT observes the general tendency (tension increases or decreases) and only reverses a previous measure if a tendency has reversed during a certain period of time. The time delay depends on the extent to which the tension deviates from the tendency.
