The temperature sensor of Victron Energy (MPN AS000100000) can be used with the battery monitors BMV-702, BMV-712 and the Ve.Bus Smart Dongle. The two -core cable has a temperature sensor, which is cast in a ring -like. The ring of the ring is connected to the plus pole of the battery to be monitored, the red cable end - with the integrated backup - is connected to the B1 connection at the measuring resistance, the black cable end is connected to the B2 connection.

Hints:

The connection B2 at the measurement resistance is generally available for the basic monitoring of a second battery (starter battery), for the centerpoint voltage monitoring or for temperature monitoring. Only one of these three options can be used, multiple use is not possible. The measured temperature can be displayed on the monitor in degree Celsius or in degrees. The temperature measurement can also be used to adapt the available battery capacity according to the battery temperature. The available battery capacity decreases with a falling battery temperature. Compared to the capacity of a battery at 20 ° C, the capacity drops by 18% at 0 ° C and already 40% at -20 ° C. The battery computer takes this into account in the calculation, so that there is always an exact capacity display on the monitor at each battery temperature.
