Solar Systems – 0% VAT for Private Customers in Germany

Conditions

Germany: 0% VAT on purchase, delivery, and installation of solar systems and battery storage in accordance with §12 Section 3 German VAT Act (UStG).

Notes

Accessories and storage devices delivered and installed together with photovoltaic modules are also VAT-exempt.
Extensions to existing systems up to 35 kW (peak) are eligible.
Retrofitting existing systems with a storage unit is subject to the standard VAT rate.
