Batteries for motorhomes, boats and home-storage systems play a crucial role in supplying power on board. They store the electricity produced by solar panels, wind generators or the vehicle engine’s alternator, which is needed for various electronic devices, navigation, the refrigerator and engine starting. There are two main types of onboard batteries: starter batteries and house (service) batteries, each serving different requirements. Starter batteries are designed to deliver high current for short periods, while house batteries provide continuous power over an extended time. Combination types can offer an efficient solution for both applications.
