The Victron Orion 24/12-40 is a modern DC-DC converter and ensures a regulated DC voltage and thus the uninterrupted operation of your DC consumers.
The 24/12-40 converts 24V DC into 12V DC and delivers a constant continuous current of 40A, which corresponds to a power of 480W. Compared to smaller devices in this series, the fan in this device is temperature-controlled. The overall efficiency of this model is 95%. There is also an integrated on/off switch on the device, which can be controlled remotely.

DC-DC direct current converters from the Orion family generate a clean 12V output voltage and compensate for any line losses as well as fluctuations in the battery voltage.

The remote-controlled on/off connection eliminates the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring. The remote on/off connection can be controlled with a power saving switch or by the run/stop switch of the motor (see manual).
