The 25.6 V/300 Ah Lithium-NG battery from Victron Energy is a powerful next-generation LiFePO₄ battery renowned for its high efficiency and long service life. It can be flexibly integrated into various energy systems and supports series, parallel, or hybrid configurations. The integrated shunt transmits key battery data to the BMS for precise state-of-charge calculation and specific alerts. An outstanding feature is its enhanced ingress protection (IP rating), sealing the battery against dust and low-pressure water jets—making it ideal for demanding environments. Additionally, it boasts a low self-discharge rate of max. 2 % per month, significantly improving overall performance, longevity, and reliability.

Advantages of the NG series

The NG series from Victron Energy offers numerous advantages over conventional lithium batteries. Chief among them is its enhanced lifespan achieved through advanced cell technology—delivering more cycles even under intensive use. It also features superior temperature stability for efficient operation under extreme conditions. With higher discharge performance and faster charging, the NG batteries provide a more reliable power supply to meet the demands of modern energy systems.

Setup and control with VictronConnect, GX device, or VRM portal

All battery parameters are fully managed automatically by the BMS. The system detects system voltage and battery count—whether batteries are connected in series, parallel, or hybrid. The Lynx Smart BMS (available in NG 500 A / NG 1000 A variants) is mandatory and sold separately.

Monitoring and control are done via the VictronConnect app (Bluetooth is integrated in all BMS models), a GX communication center, or the VRM portal. Real-time display of battery parameters—cell status, voltages, currents, and temperatures—is supported. Battery firmware updates are performed automatically via the BMS.

BMS functions:

Trigger a pre-alarm if any cell voltage falls below 3.0 V.
Disconnect or shut down the load when any cell voltage drops below 2.8 V.
Interrupt charging if any cell voltage exceeds 3.6 V or if temperature is out of allowed range (too high or too low).
