The Victron MPPT 100/15 belongs to the large family of BlueSolar MPPT charge controllers and, like its larger siblings, it already offers ultra-fast power tracking and can therefore increase the yield of your solar system. Compared to the 75/15, this controller can process a higher PV voltage and thus safely regulate up to 100V DC voltage.

Battery Life Algorithm helps to increase battery life
If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within one day, the status of the battery constantly switches back and forth between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This operating mode (no regular full charging) is optimal for small lead-acid batteries and, particularly with lead-acid batteries, such irregular charging and discharging leads to damage to the battery after just a few months and the service life is sometimes significantly shortened
The Battery Life algorithm monitors the state of charge of the battery and, if necessary, raises the threshold value for disconnecting the load on a daily basis (i.e. the battery is disconnected). h., the load is disconnected earlier) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to almost 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to almost 100% is achieved approximately once a week.
