The APX 5.0M-B3 serves as the central unit of the APX HV Battery 2.0 and simultaneously provides 5 kWh of energy. In addition to its storage capacity, it handles the central management and monitoring functions of the battery system. These include, among other things, monitoring the state of charge (SOC), system voltage, current, cell voltage, cell temperature, and circuit board temperature. The master module already includes the components required for installation.
Modularly expandable from 5 to 30 kWh
A single APX 5.0M-B3 already forms a 5-kWh system. For larger storage capacities, the master module is combined with separate APX 5.0P-B3 battery modules. Depending on the system configuration, capacities ranging from 5 to 30 kWh are possible. The APX 5.0P-B3 serves as an additional battery module, expanding the existing storage capacity by 5 kWh each time.
Central Control and Energy Optimization
The master module communicates via CAN/RS485 and handles central monitoring of the battery system. The APX HV Battery 2.0 also supports energy optimization at the module level as well as mixed operation of new and older battery modules. This allows for flexible expansion of an existing system within the approved configuration.
For Compatible Growatt Inverters
The APX HV Battery 2.0 is designed for use with compatible Growatt MOD HU and Growatt MIN-XH2 inverters. The APX 5.0M-B3 can be used within approved single-phase and three-phase system configurations.
