Victron Skylla-TG Battery Charger for 24V Batteries
One output with full rated power and one auxiliary charging output with 4 A are available. The charging voltage can be adjusted precisely to suit any battery system. The charger input is 230 V at 50/60 HZ. The charging voltage can be measured directly at the battery terminals to compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance. An external sensor enables measurement of the battery temperature and corresponding compensation of the charging voltage.
Pure power, compact format
TG generation battery chargers are lightweight and compact thanks to the use of high-frequency technology. The charging voltage can be adapted to any open or sealed battery type. A stable charging voltage is especially important for sealed, maintenance-free batteries. Overvoltage leads to excessive gassing and drying out
Controlled charging
Each TG charger features a microprocessor that precisely controls the charging process in three stages. The charging process follows the IUoUo characteristic curve and is faster than other charging processes.
Can be used as a power supply
Thanks to its perfectly stabilized output voltage, a TG charger can be used as a power supply if batteries or large buffer capacitors are not available.
Two outputs for charging two batteries
TG chargers have two isolated outputs. The second output is intended for charging a starter battery. It has a slightly lower output voltage and is limited to 4 A.
Longer battery life through temperature compensation
A temperature sensor is supplied with every TG charger. The temperature sensor ensures a decreasing charging voltage as battery temperature rises. This is particularly important for maintenance-free batteries, which could otherwise dry out due to overcharging.
Voltage Sense: measuring the charging voltage at the battery or at the DC distribution panel
To compensate for voltage losses caused by cable resistance, TG chargers feature a “Voltage Sense” function. It ensures that the battery always receives the correct charging voltage.
