A MultiPlus-II with LCD display and GX functionality

The MultiPlus-II GX features a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger and a GX device with a 2 x 16-character display.

Display and WiFi

The display shows the parameters for battery, inverter and solar charge controller.

The same parameters can also be accessed with a smartphone or another WiFi-enabled device.

GX device

The integrated GX device includes:

A BMS-Can interface. This can be used to connect to a compatible CAN bus-managed battery. Please note that this is not a VE.Can-compatible port.

• A USB port.

• An Ethernet port.

• A VE.Direct port.

Application

The MultiPlus-II GX is intended for applications where additional integration with other products and/or remote monitoring is required, such as grid-connected or off-grid energy storage systems and certain mobile applications.

Parallel and three-phase operation

For parallel and three-phase operation, only one GX device is required.

Standard marine, mobile or off-grid application

Loads that should be switched off when no AC input is available

can be connected to a second output (not shown).

These loads are taken into account by the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions

to limit the AC input current to a safe value

when AC input current is available.

Standard mobile or off-grid application with external

current sensor

Maximum range for current measurement: 50 A or 100 A

Topology parallel to the grid with MPPT solar charge controller

The MultiPlus-II uses data from the external AC current sensor (to be ordered separately)

or energy meter to optimize self-consumption and,

if required, prevent power feed-in to the grid.

In the event of a power failure, the MultiPlus-II continues to supply the necessary

loads.

Topology in series with the grid with PV inverter

PV power is converted directly into AC power.

The MultiPlus-II uses excess PV energy to charge the batteries or

to feed the energy into the grid. It draws power from the batteries or uses

the grid to bridge a shortage of PV energy. In the event of a

power failure, the MultiPlus-II disconnects from the grid and continues to supply the loads
