The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32 is a high-performance inverter and battery charger combination designed for demanding energy systems. Manufactured by Victron Energy, part number PMP482305012, it combines proven MultiPlus technology with an external current sensor interface and an integrated anti-islanding function. This makes the unit suitable not only for off-grid installations, but also for modern ESS applications and grid-connected systems where safety and flexibility are essential.
The inverter delivers up to 3000 W under non-linear load conditions, 2400 W continuous power with linear loads and a peak power of 6000 W. This ensures reliable operation of sensitive electronics as well as consumers with high short-term starting currents. The integrated 48 V battery charger provides a charging current of 35 A and is well balanced for typical lithium and lead-acid battery systems. A 32 A transfer switch is built in, enabling automatic and extremely fast switching between AC sources. In the event of a grid, shore or generator failure, the changeover takes place in less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for critical loads.
Key functions of the MultiPlus-II are PowerControl and PowerAssist. PowerControl allows the maximum input current from the grid or generator to be set precisely, preventing overload of limited power sources. PowerAssist extends this concept by supporting short-term peak loads with energy from the battery. When the load decreases again, the available power is used to recharge the batteries. This makes it possible to operate high loads even with weak grid or generator connections.
The MultiPlus-II can be used in both off-grid and grid-connected photovoltaic systems and in other alternative energy installations. It is compatible with solar charge controllers as well as grid-tie inverters and continues to supply AC power from batteries or solar energy during grid outages. Two independent AC outputs provide maximum flexibility. The main output ensures uninterrupted operation and supplies critical consumers at all times. The second output is only active when external AC power is available and is intended for loads that must not discharge the battery, such as water heaters.
Via the VE.Bus interface, the MultiPlus-II can be connected in parallel or configured for three-phase operation, allowing the system power to be scaled almost without limits. Configuration can be carried out locally using the VEConfigure software or remotely in combination with Victron GX devices. When used with a Color Control GX, Cerbo GX or other GX products, all system data can be monitored and stored via the Victron Remote Management portal. Remote access and parameter changes are also possible once the system is connected to the internet.
The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32 is particularly suitable for professional marine applications, yachts, vehicles and stationary off-grid or hybrid energy systems. With an efficiency of up to 95 percent, an output voltage of 230 V at 50 Hz and protection class IP22, it meets high technical and quality standards.
