The Victron BCD 402 2 with 40A DC power (MPN BCD000402000) is a diode battery coupler and is used to reliably supply particularly important consumers with stable direct current, which can also come from 2 sources with the help of these diodes. For example from two different battery circles. If an DC source is not sufficient, the second connected source for increasing is automatically consulted.

Dioda battery couplers are used to use continuous direct current power for supplying decisive devices, such as: B to ensure an electronic engine control system. With the help of a diode battery coupler, two or more industrial sources can be switched in parallel in order to supply the consumer to the company. If a source fails, the supply of the necessary consumer is not interrupted.

The ARGO battery couplers are characterized by a low drop in voltage that can be attributed to the use of Schottky diodes: In the case of low stream, the voltage drop is approx. 0.3 V and the nominal output is approximately 0.45 V.
