In AGM batteries, the electrolyte (mixture of water and sulphuric acid) is largely bound in a glass fiber mat. This type of battery is completely maintenance-free and there is no gas formation during normal use. In addition, these batteries can be installed anywhere.
Due to their design, they discharge very quickly at very high current consumption, which is why AGM batteries are ideal for systems with high current consumption (for example when starting the engine). The battery terminals can be unscrewed. This type of battery can be combined with any standard battery connection terminal.
