To protect lithium technology, a BMS (Battery management system) is installed in the battery. This BMS protects your battery from overvoltage, over temperature, compensates for the cells when charging and prevents a deep discharge of the battery.
Due to the extremely low internal resistance of LIFEPO4 batteries, in contrast to AGM batteries, the battery is highly current. This allows the vehicle's alternator to charge the battery with higher electricity in a shorter time.
The new X-Power lithium starter battery replaces lead, or yellow batteries up to 280AH.

The lithium-iron phosphate battery (LIFEPO4) is the safest from the family of lithium-ion battery types. It is high -powered, universally usable and has a low weight towards lead, gel or AGM batteries. In addition, the latest lithium iron technology offers a high degree of self-security, so that a risk of explosion is excluded even under the most extreme conditions. A 13.2V LIFEPO4 battery consists of 4 individual cells connected in series, each with 3.3V nominal voltage. A built-in battery management system (BMS) also safely protects the battery cells from damage.
LOAD
The LIFEPO4 X-Power starter battery is connected to the alternator of the car like a lead battery. The alternator controller treats and loads the LIFEPO4 starter battery as well as a lead battery, for this no change in the car or on the alternator is necessary.
