The LE300 SMART BATTERY SYSTEM IS A LITHIUM EXPANSION TO INCREASE THE CAPACITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE LEAD BATTERY, AS WELL AS IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND LIFE OF THE OVERALL SYSTEM.

The lithium extension battery takes over most of the charging cycles while the lead battery functions as a cheap backup storage. The lead battery is charged with a higher priority while the lithium battery takes over the excess energy. When discharging, the lithium battery is primarily discharged. This significantly extends the service life of the lead battery. The LE300 recognizes the voltage of the lead-acid battery and automatically starts to support the lead-acid battery with a maximum current of 12.5 A. Larger loads are supplied by the lead-acid battery and the lithium battery in parallel, which means that both batteries are loaded with less current.

Over- and undertemperature protection, heating, charging & discharging	The temperature sensor prevents the lithium battery from charging below -5°C or above 55 °C cell temperature. Charging starts as soon as the cell temperature is higher than -5 °C. The device has an integrated heating system that is activated between -20 °C and 10 °C cell temperature. Discharge is possible between -10 °C and 60 °C cell temperature. For a longer battery life, the system runs in pure lead mode at a cell temperature below -10 °C.
