The LE300 Smart Battery System is a lithium expansion to increase the capacity and performance of the lead battery, as well as the efficiency and service life of the overall system.

The lithium expansion battery takes over most charging cycles while the lead battery works as a cheap backup storage. The lead battery is loaded with a higher priority, with the lithium battery taking over the surplus energy. When unloading, the lithium battery is primarily unloaded. As a result, the lifespan of the lead battery is significantly extended. The LE300 recognizes the voltage of the lead battery and automatically begins to support the lead battery with a maximum current thickness of 12.5 A. Larger loads are supplied in parallel by the lead battery and the lithium battery, which contains both batteries with less electricity.

All advantages at a glance

Plug & Play> Easy Connection of two cables
Flexible adaptation of the capacity by simply putting together individual modules.
Use of the existing lead loader possible.
Performance optimization of the battery system by loading priority of the lead battery and preferred unloading of the lithium battery
The performance of the lithium battery and the cost advantage of the lead battery are combined.
Slim and light design with variable fastening options.
Integrated heating system.

4 different variants available:
Lithium battery LE300 individual module
Lithium battery LE300 2 Series Block
Lithium battery LE300 4er block
Lithium battery LE300 6 Block

Technical specifications

Nominal lithium capacity	25.6 Ah/328 Wh
Usable lithium capacity	90 % (23 Ah/295 Wh)
Cycles number at room temperature	> 2000 full cycles
Recommended lead capacity per LE300 (not included)	70 - 125 AH @ 12 VDC
Recommended lithium/lead capacity ratio (net)	1/3 in Solarheim systems. Values vary depending on the required autonomy and application.
Continuous charging and discharge current	Max. 12.5 A between 5 and 40 ° C, at high and low temperature the electricity is limited.
Battery efficiency	>90 %
connections	RAST 5/MINI modules 4 PIN/ communication interface/ external display
Recommended cable diameter	1.5 - 4 mm²
Operating temperature (operation & storage)	-20 -50 ° C operating temperature with maximum battery life at 15 - 25 ° C. Storage temperature 10 - 30 ° C.
Over- and under temperature protection, heating, charge & discharge	In the lithium battery, the temperature sensor prevents the charging below -5 ° C or above 55 ° C cell temperature. Charge begins as soon as the cell temp. is higher than -5 ° C. The device has an integrated heating system that is activated between - 20 ° C and 10 ° C cell temperature. Discharge is possible between -10 ° C and 60 ° C cell temperature. For a higher battery life, the system runs below -10 ° C in pure bleim mode at a cell temperature.
Battery management BMS	Battery management including balancer
Protective functions	Overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuits, deep discharge, protection against false polarity.
Operating mode/compatible external batteries	Each 12 V lead battery and lead loader
Max. Parallel circuits of LE300S	As standard, a maximum of 24 LE300s can be connected in parallel. Parallel circuit> 24 St. is possible after consultation with the BOS dealer.
Certification & additional tests	CE, E1, Un38.3 Rüttel extent test, vibration test, mechanical shock test, temperature changing time run

Note: Always pay attention to the permissible max. System voltage when switching.
