Simply cut the hose in the desired length and position it at the intended area.
Heat the hose evenly with a hot air hair dryer or another suitable heat source until it completely surrounds the cable and the resin easily leaves at the end.

Do not pay attention to the hose for too long in one place of the direct heat, but heat it evenly everywhere until it has shrunk to the desired size.
