The monocrystalline and bifacial 480W Black Frame Series N5 solar module from Luxen Solar convinces with a combination of various innovative technologies, such as N-TOPCon cell technology and a 120 half-cell layout. SMBB half-cut cell technology was also used in production to increase performance. N-TOPCon cell technology

The advanced TOPCon technology (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is a further development of PERC technology and aims to increase the efficiency of solar cells. The solar modules are provided with an ultra-thin oxide layer and a subsequent conductive layer, which leads to a so-called passivated contact. As a result, the performance of the solar cell is improved in low light conditions, leading to higher annual energy production. Furthermore, the combination of TOPCon and bifacial technology can be used to further increase performance, as the cells can absorb 15% more reflected light.

Half-cell technology

In half-cell technology ("half-cut"), conventional silicon cells are cut in half using a laser. The resulting halves are then connected centrally in parallel, which leads to an increased output of the solar module by reducing resistance losses.

Bifacial cells

Bifacial means two-faced. And the name says it all: the Luxen Solar 430W N5 module is also equipped with solar cells on the back, allowing it to absorb sunlight even better and increasing the efficiency of the overall module.
