Remote monitoring and control
You can control and monitor the extensive functions of your BlueSolar MPPT charger remotely by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your system is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet Portal (VRM) via a GX device, you have full access to your MPPT at any time and from anywhere. Both VictronConnect and VRM are available free of charge.
Load output
You can prevent the battery from discharging too deeply by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a predefined voltage value. Alternatively, an algorithm for intelligent battery management can be selected: see Battery Life.
The load output is short-circuit proof. Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery. The inverter remote control is best connected to the load output. A special interface cable may be required, please refer to the manual.
Battery Life: Intelligent battery management
If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within one day, the status of the battery constantly switches back and forth between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a battery within a few weeks or months.
The Battery Life algorithm monitors the state of charge of the battery and, if necessary, raises the threshold for disconnecting the load day by day (i.e. the load is disconnected earlier) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to almost 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to almost 100% is achieved approximately once a week.
