Victron Orion-Tr Smart 24/12-30A (360W) DC DC Converter

The Orion-Tr Smart 24/12-30 from Victron Energy (MPN ORI241236120) is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter and charger. It is suitable for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or on boats where the (smart) alternator and the starter battery are to be used to charge the service battery. The charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is suitable for both lead and lithium batteries. An unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel to increase the output power.

Thanks to the Orion-Tr Smart 12/24-15A, you can supply every 24V consumer with exactly the right voltage. the correct voltage is also guaranteed with longer lines, since the Orion can adapt the voltage to line losses that occur. With many sensitive electronic devices, maintaining the exact operating voltage is essential for smooth operation.

Integrated Bluetooth, fully programmable

Monitoring, changing the settings and updating the charger when new software functions become available can be done with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other device. The Orion-Tr Smart can be programmed via a configurable battery charge algorithm or a fixed output. It also has intelligent alternator compatibility - engine running detection.

Adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm: constant current - constant voltage - float

• With lead-acid batteries it is important that the recording time is kept short during shallow discharges in order to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the constant voltage duration is automatically extended to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
• For lithium batteries, the recording time is fixed, 2 hours by default.
• Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote controllable on/off switch

A remote on/off switch or a relay contact can be connected to the two-pin connector. Alternatively, the H (right) connection of the two-pin connector can be connected to a battery positive terminal, or the L (left) connection of the two-pin connector to the battery negative terminal (or to the body of a vehicle, for example).
