Victron MultiPlus-II 24/5000/120-50 230V 5000W Inverter 120A Charger All-in-One

The Multiplus-II 24/5000/120-50A is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy (MPN PMP242505010) that combines classic Multiplus components with an external current sensor and integrated anti-islanding function. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 100A and expands the potential range of use to ESS applications. The inverter module delivers a whopping 5000 W with a non-linear load, or 4000 W with a continuous linear load. The 24 V battery charger is also very well proportioned with a charging capacity of 120 A and is supplemented by a 50 A transfer switch, which can be used to switch back and forth between the AC connections at lightning speed.

Always enough power thanks to PowerControl and PowerAssist

A maximum mains or generator current can be set on the Multiplus-II 24/5000/120-50. The MultiPlus-II then takes into account other connected AC consumers and only uses the current that is "left" to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or mains connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function). With the function PowerAssist gives the PowerControl principle a new dimension. Peak loads often only occur for a limited period. In such a case, the MultiPlus-II compensates for insufficient generator, shore power or mains power immediately with energy from the battery. The load is reduced , i.e. if consumers are switched off, the sufficient energy that is then available can be used to charge the batteries.

Solar power: alternating current even in the event of a power failure

The device can be used with off-grid and grid-connected PV systems as well as with other alternative energy systems.It can be used with both solar charge controllers and grid-tied inverters

Maximum flexibility thanks to two AC outputs

The main exit ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption in the shore/generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The switchover happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices can continue to operate without interruption. The second output provides power only when AC power is available at the input of the MultiPlus-II. Consumers who are not allowed to discharge the battery, e.g. B. a water heater can be connected to this output.

Many options for system expansion

The settings can be changed within a few minutes with the VEConfigure software (a computer or laptop and an MK3 USB interface are required for this). Multiple monitoring and control options available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, Laptop, Computer, Bluetooth (with optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle), Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.

Remote configuration and monitoring

Install a Color Control GX or other GX products to connect to the Internet. The operating data can be stored and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website. When systems are connected to the Internet, they can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
