This VE.Can to CAN-bus BMS cable from Victron (MPN ASS030710018) is required to use a CAN-bus capable battery not supplied by Victron Victron is to be connected to a Victron GX device. The cable, with a length of 1.8m, corresponds to type A, which can be used for the following batteries:
- BYD B-Box
- Pylontech US2000C / US3000C / Force-L
Installation
The side labeled "CAN-Bus BMS" is plugged into the battery. The other side labeled "VE.Can" must either be connected to the VE.Can port of the GX device or to the BMS-Can port. Both port types of a GX device can be configured to work with a 3rd party CAN bus battery connected to a BMS. For configuration information, refer to the manual for the battery you are using.
