The Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 from Victron (MPN QUA243020010) is a device combination of 24V 2400W sine wave inverter, a powerful battery charger and transfer switch. It has two switchable AC outputs and 2 AC inputs, each equipped with a 50A transfer switch. The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources: for example to the public power grid and a generator or to two generators. The Quattro automatically connects to the active source.
The permanently integrated battery charger delivers a remarkable 70A, with which even large batteries can be fully charged quickly if shore/mains power is available. The 12V sinus voltage converter installed in the Quattro converts your battery power into 230V alternating current. Thanks to the real sine wave, the power quality is also perfect for sensitive electronic devices. In addition to the two integrated device types, 1 lightning-fast 50A transfer switch is installed for each AC input. Thanks to these switches, countless applications can also be implemented in the grid-connected area. In addition to the VE.Bus port, there are also 2 COM ports available for system integration, which allows the Quattro to be networked almost without limits.
Extremely flexible thanks to 2 AC inputs and 2 AC outputs
The main exit ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption to the shore/generator power, the Quattro takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The switchover happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices can continue to operate without interruption. The second output provides power only when AC power is available on one of the Quattro's inputs. Consumers who are not allowed to discharge the battery, e.g. B. a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Essential features of the Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50
- 2400W continuous power and 6000W peak power, for 24V battery voltage
- Device combination of inverter with transfer switch and 70A battery charger
- delivers the purest 230V sinusoidal voltage and a clean 50Hz frequency
- 2 AC inputs with integrated transfer switch / 2 x 50 A maximum switchable current
- 2 AC outputs + 1x additional output which only allows the current to pass to the consumer when the AC input is active.
- VE.Bus communication port provides extensive possibilities for networking, system integration, configuration and control of Victron Multiplus devices.
- supports three-phase operation (requires 3 identical units of the same model)
- Multiplus devices can be switched in parallel, up to 6 devices can be connected in parallel, thereby significantly increasing the system performance if necessary
- 2x COM ports are available in addition to the VE.Bus port, so there are practically no more limits to system integration
- PowerControl function allows working with limited generator power as well as limited shore or mains power
- PowerAssist function enables "performance increase" of generators and shore connection support if necessary
- Can be used as a UPS solution for an uninterruptible power supply, thanks to the integrated transfer switch with 16A or 50A
- Can be used for grid-connected self-consumption systems that only draw power from the grid operator when the battery capacity is no longer sufficient or other programmable events have taken place
- 3 separately programmable relays
- Compatible with a wide range of Victron control and display panels
- very high efficiency and low self-consumption
Massive increase in performance possible
Up to 6 Quattros can be connected in parallel. With six 48/10000/140 units, for example, this results in an output of 54 kW/60 kVA or 840 A charging current. Three units can be switched in a three phase configuration. But that's not all: Up to 6 sets with three devices can be connected in parallel and you then get 162 kW/180 kVA inverter power and over 2,500 A charging capacity.
PowerControl - Working with limited generator power, limited shore or grid power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. Therefore it takes a lot of current from the generator or the shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). The maximum mains or generator current that can be drawn can be set with the Multi Control remote control panel. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and only uses the current that is "left" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
PowerAssist - "Power boost" of generators and shore connection support
This function takes the PowerControl principle to a new dimension. It allows the Quattro to support underpowered alternative sources. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the Quattro ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery.
BackUp system: Alternating current even in the event of a power failure
The Quattro can be used with off-grid and grid-connected PV systems as well as with other alternative energy systems. Power failure detection software is available.
Easy system configuration
If settings need to be changed on a single device, this can be done in minutes using a DIP switch setup procedure.
Parallel and three-phase systems can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
On-site monitoring options and control
Several options are available: battery monitor, multi control panel, Ve.Net Blue Power panel, color control panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote monitoring and control
Victron Ethernet Remote, Victron Global Remote and the Color Control Panel enable remote maintenance and remote monitoring of the MultiPlus. In addition, the system data can be saved and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
Remote configuration
When systems with a color control panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings changed remotely.
